I had a very quick pint in here with the other half last Saturday. The lounge bar was closed for a party and the other bar was packed with about 10 people. We sloshed back our drinks before the squealing pigs and banjos appeared!

This may be a little harsh as the barman did wipe down one of the 2 tables in the bar for us to sit at, but I still felt obliged to order a Stella as he didn’t look very impressed when I asked for a pint of lime and soda for the misses.

I agree with last review this place should be very busy. We visited earlier this year on an aborted FA Cup trip(CUFC). Our small group were the only people in the pub on a Saturday lunch time. We thought the pub was fine but obviously the locals are not supporting it. All the ales available were McMullen's.

This place is a goldmine waiting to happen - its got the best catchment area I have ever seen for a pub, with a great, young affluent crowd living close by. I'd go more often if the place was spruced up a bit and the atmosphere was a little more upbeat. In the meantime I'll walk down to The Monk. The Sebrite interior could do with a wash.

I have been here a few times. The staff have been friendly. The management has changed. It is a good local pub. Guinness, Fosters and the McMullens have all been sampled and are ok.. (Dont order from the lounge as the lines are a bit ropey.)

Not many people in even on a Friday night but a fantastic pint of McMullen's.
