I have always had a problem being seved here. I think its a colour thing. A lovely pub in all aspects but not if your not white!

A true English pub, I was a regular with the first wave of Murphy pipeline guys in the late eighties. I usually call in during the day, if I am in the area, I can just imagine the ghost of old Fred Turner with his large Bells whiskey, approving the tasteful embellishments to the pub, Great to see the Perch & Pike (besides St. Andrew’s of course) remaining the focal point of this quintessentially English village long may it continue.

This is is a very good pub again thanks to the new Landlord, very good food, sunday lunches one to try all cooked on the premises, all food and a good range of beers makes the Perch & Pike a pleasand place to enjoy a few hours of great hospitality, hope it is they stay for a long time.

This pub is much improved, with new landlord from January 2007. Beer, pub and customers properly looked after. Worth a visit. Hooray!

"...looking forward to a really nice pub being looked after..."

All I can say is that the poster making that comment must have been seriously disappointed over the last 18 months.

The disarray and mis-management of this pub during that time can only be described as criminal. Don't eat here (if you value your money and indeed your health), don't drink here (unless you want to spend your evenings in an empty pub where as often as not they have run out of beer, and any drinkers who do call in are obviously despised by the pig-ignorant management), in fact don't bother going here at all.

Time for another change!!
