| History was great - so great we went back to see the band (Dave Stewart) last Thursday 25 Sep. Band was pretty decent. Not really a pub as they have everything from wine and spirits to coffee, but very few beers, and only bottled. But the place was very cool - bit pricey. Downstairs is great, small stage and a fountain to wash your hands in. Garden out back closes early. Food not bad either. Didn't think the bad reviews I read were completely fair tbh. | Love this place. Ok its a bit grubby and expensive but what a night out and great staff and atmosphere. Dave_Yeats - 22 Jul 2008 13:17 |
| Met a friend here on a Tues night and thought it was fabulous! Excellent cocktails, wine, food and service was second to none! A fabulous quaint little watering hole! toggi - 26 Mar 2007 22:58 |
| Go for the music in the basement...nothing else. pezza132 - 2 Nov 2006 10:54 |
| on a rather grubby stretch of the old brompton road, this place looks great & is appealing...until you step inside. horrendously snooty, slow staff - matched only by equally unappealingly posh customers - combined with high prices completely ruin the promise of this place. their greatest achievement was to turn what should have been a pleasant friday evening beer in the sun into a hasty gulp & a swift exit. avoid, unless you like paying through the nose for suffering. magpie61 - 19 Jun 2006 16:46 |
