user reviews of the Oratory, South Kensington

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

On saturday night, the staff were on another planet, the first two bottles of house wine were warm, we ordered our food, three of the starters (out of 8) turned up, none of the others arrived, the first three got taken away as had gone to the wrong table (people had started eating them), i asked for a clean glass because red wine had been poured into my empty glass that was waiting for cold white wine and i never got one, the bathroom is a ridiculous trek away, my salad (main course) was microscopic - a rip off at 9.50. Was very pleased to get out.

Really good atmosphere with delicious food and friendly staff. would recommend. The wine is very reasonable too which makes it even better!

Popped in for a light dinner before a concert - what a find! Pinot Grigio for 8.50 and the most delicious Mezze Platter. Definitely worth a visit

A cool ittle find in a place where good restaurants are hard to come by. Great decor - you would never think it would work....be sure to look at the light fittings!! The food is great - a whole mixed bag of stuff, from yummy mussels to chicken stuffed with concoptions of things and fab puddings. The house wine is good and really good value at about 7 a bottle!!
