| This place is an absolute dump - actually no i'll start again, the staff and landlady make this place an absolute dump. You'd think if any of the staff behind the bar would smile it'd crack their faces! Takes so long to get served in there and the rudeness of the staff when you do actually get served is unbelievable. | Funny enough the abbot has changed too, so get your comments right before posting them. But in breeds can always be kept out by strong management and from what i've seen both pubs now have that. | Lets get a bit of perspective here!! Just read in local free rag The Post that the new landlady has barred over 200 scumbags from the pub. Anonymous - 9 Mar you are quoted in the paper as weel. Gypo Pubs in Morden are a scream long may they live on. The Beverley is in danger of being removed from the Pikey Pantheon occupied by The Crown, The Abbott and Morden Tavern. | Ok people, lets get a bit of perspective here, The Beverly has been a hole for years, granted, BUT this has changed, the new landlady is doing her best to raise the profile of the pub and get rid of the idiots that used to frequent the place and cause trouble. Me and my other half and mates have been down there on many occasions for a quiet drink and a meal, I have to say the food is very good value, the bar staff are all very friendly as is the landlady, we've not seen any trouble in there, and i'm sure if there was any it would be nipped in the bud rapidly ! As a 'local' pub it does just the job, people should give the place a chance under the new management, they are doing their best so support them instead of just running the place down !! anonymous - 20 Jul 2006 11:12 |
