Agree with 'bromleyjon' and his comments about Jane Austen. Had the misfortune of passing this fine old building the other evening. Sadly it was awash with chavs queueing outside and little tartie types hanging out of the windows calling out to their mates on the street below -innit. Such a shame given it's history; once a fine hotel and famous coaching inn - now its just another defaced high street wine bar type. SOS Pleease!

Nice refit. Looks great inside. Rather devoid of customers though.

Looked shut yesterday and the windows were smashed. Shame.

I think everyone's being a little hard on the Sky bar. Ok, so its a modern refit to an old building, but god its better than the crappy old Bell.

It's pretty much a chav free zone (unfortunately also virtually a customer-free zone) and the young staff are very smiley and happy.

To the management: Lose the bog trolls. It's not nice. "Freshen up boss" "Fuck off mate, I'm having a piss".

Jane Austen mentions the Bell at Bromley in pride and Prejudice. If she could see it now she'd be turning in her grave!
