| The 'New' Goffs Oak is a huge improvement on the old Ember Inn, it now serves fresh food and has staff that really care. I was really impressed with my meal and highly reccomend this pub to anyone from a special occasion, to a quick lunch it will cater for your needs. | This pub has actually improved in recent months due to good staff and managers. Since the new guy has taken over, the food has been better and the whole atmosphere in the place has improved. There's no longer any trouble makers in the pub and everybody has a laugh in there. Fair enough fridays are really busy in there in the evening but the staff do a great job of putting up with all the drunkards that go in there sometimes and if there's ever any trouble they've dealt with it. | This pub has been modernised & is a shadow of it's former self. Inadequate staffing means long waiting time to be served & it has had a succession of temporary managers in recent times. Menu seems attractive but food quality is poor. Locals wish Ember Inns would sell it to someone who would staff & run it properly.
