The Cathedral Hotel is now under new ownership and has been completely refurbished. It stayed open til 2am on the Saturday and was very lively. Great for dancing. It has quite a big bar area so you can either chill in the Lounge area or boogie away on the dance floor. It has a great Patio/Garden area out the back with heaters (for any smokers or outdoor types like myself.) They have a good food menu and served til 9pm. They also have refurbished the bedrooms and the room we stayed in was very tastefully done out. Totally recommend the Breakfast (although I couldn't eat it all) Totally recommend for a great night out or stay if you are site seeing like us. babycurrant - 27 Mar 2009 11:54
The cathedral hotel has actually picked up a lot in the last couple of months and is pretty much back to the way it used to be. Queues of people waiting to get in most of the night etc... so i can't really see how some people think it is so bad. It's by no stretch of the imagination the best bar around, but for salisbury it's probably one of the best places to be. Unless you prefer snobby, stuck up big heads - in which case you might like to give Kludo a try. In any case the cathedral hotel won't be here much longer it will soon become a walkabout. We do need somewhere else to go in salisbury. Lets just hope it's not just another weatherspoons!!!! anonymous - 6 Nov 2006 22:24
Dirt cheap beer. Not the prettiest bar in the world but is perfectly OK. kitcat - 15 May 2006 10:12
