Ex public baths building, a section of which has been converted into a regular Spoon. There's a nice room on the corner with a fireplace. It's an OK place with a small selection of guests. Much cheaper than the Spoons in town. We quite liked it. SilkTork - 7 Aug 2008 22:50
Beer is always in excellent condition here and a good range of guests is guaranteed. The Beer and a Burger is still only £3.99 here - the cheapest I have ever seen it (everywhere else is £4.59). Quite a few old gadgers but never any problems in my experiences. Sharp - 16 Jun 2008 22:16
Called in to pick up a new Acorn beer not had before, and found it pleasantly quiet as it was lunchtime. At my last visit in January I didn't have anything as I had gone in for a breakfast, and they had run out of food due to the local derby footy being played. The beer was good at this visit. gillhalfpint - 10 Feb 2008 11:18

Ok, this pub (ok, this Bar... Wetherspoons arn't pubs)is fairly standard Wetherspoons fair, the food is average but cheap, the drinks are fairly cheap, but the beer is usually good and there's usually good choice including usually a couple of local ones (Bradfield especially) on handpump for £1.59, which is hardly bad. One of only 2 real ale bars on West Street itself and compared to most of the West Street Bars this is really not that bad a place! Chris_Bamford - 21 Feb 2006 00:17
