Good food and beer. Knowledgable and friendly bar staff. Pricey however and could do with have the fires going to give it a warmer feel. mithrandir1967 - 28 Dec 2011 15:31
A pub with less atmosphere than the moon with surprisingly poor and slow service using inexperienced/untrained staff. Wife and I kept giving them a 2nd chance, but never been rewarded for this. Now fed up. Not returning. PC123 - 24 Dec 2011 10:15
Note to BITE: As another poster has mentioned, the pub is now owned by Brunning & Price - it's no longer a Brewer's Fart... palecitrus - 10 Nov 2011 21:34
Very nicely done up and now owned by a proper pub company that not only looks after a decent range of beers very well, but know how to cook a bit too. Food might be a bit pricey (although it's pretty good), as indeed is the beer, but it's still a jolly decent pub. palecitrus - 10 Nov 2011 21:33
Well it is definitely not a brewer's fayre, like it says above, it's a Brunning & Price. I've been a fan of the Hare's for many years and have to say that the Nevill compares well to it's sister pub. It is much bigger than the Hare and has beautiful gardens. Had Sunday lunch with the family, the carpark was full and there was real buzz about the place. Our food dod't take too long and was tasty, not the cheapest but the staff were helPhil and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. It was lovely to see a really wide choice of real ales and thankfully the wife was driving. The kids loved the vintage tractor that has been renovated and used in place of a climbing frame. All on all a fantastic experience. Top marks! tootiredtoworry - 13 Jul 2011 20:48
