| Lovely Victorian pub in a nice area, bit pricey though but the Real ale choice was good (7 on Last Night). Would go again. Hollow.legs - 3 Mar 2012 11:18 |
| Very nice double fronted pub a short, worthwhile, walk from the centre. This does have a nice traditional feel especially from the front room on the right just by the bar. Great choice of real ales especially if your a Jennings fan. Tried the Jennings "Yan Tan Tethera" this time which was excellent but not quite as good as my favorite "Snecklifter" or "Cocker Hoop" which were also on. Very friendly feel to this pub, relaxed with nice subtle lighting. Along with Nellies, the Tiger Inn, the Sun Inn and the Green Dragon, a good pub crawl for Beverley. | Our local. It has a very traditional feel to it, opening hours aside (from 5pm on a week night and 12 noon on a weekend) with its oak beems, rustic decor and great cask ales (Jennings). But don't go there to watch live sport (unless darts counts?). There is live music though. Well, a resident folk guitarist. Totheregiment - 18 Apr 2009 13:27 |
| What a delight! The Woolpack is our local in Beverley. Great selection of ales, good pub food at fair prices, great company. My wife and I enjoyed meeting local folks returning from walking their dogs in Westwood Pasture. We're not dog owners and we enjoyed the canine company. Hayduke - 27 Aug 2005 21:43 |
