I did not know about the change of hands and refurbishment when I visited last Saturday, although I had wondered why it wasn't in the new Good Beer Guide. Although the refurb has spoilt it a bit, it could have been so much worse. I only had time to try one of the 8 real ales on offer and this was excellent. The staff and customers were very friendly. southdown12jack - 14 Nov 2007 12:12
Under new management yet again. Still a good range of real ales and an excellent Sunday night quiz - but the jury is still out on the new manager. anonymous - 9 Nov 2007 18:06
Been in for the first time in nearly 4 years, and while the decor has changed, it was still a nice pint, and was made to feel welcome. geord1o - 6 Oct 2007 18:39
Yes I agree. This place has gone to the Dogs. It used to be a nice old eccentric pub and now it has just turned into a horrible chain pub like any other, with loud music, offensive decor and lighting, and a different atmosphere to the relaxed supping it used to be. We went there once and once only after the renovation (5 or 6 months ago now?), and have NEVER stepped foot back in there since. Brenker - 26 Sep 2007 09:59
I like the new decor, and the beer range is among the best in the City! It is now called just "The Moot", and has a great Sunday night general knowledge quiz and Thursday music quiz. anonymous - 29 Jul 2007 12:23
