user reviews of Plazma Bar, Wickford

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I am pleased to hear that The Plazma will be rebuilt, after the massive fire last year. We only have three "drinking holes" in Wickford and this is far the best to visit. Whilst I recognise that this Bar may not be the number one preference of young people looking for a good late night out, it certainly suits our needs! Assuming that the bar will be rebuilt and opened this year - I hope that the owner will start thinking about next year's total smoking ban and provide sufficient non smoking areas NOW.(Even the bar staff smoked at the bar which displayed many
"No Smoking signs"). The bar staff, are friendly but the service can be rather slow. The food menu provided during the day is good and the drinks are very reasonably priced. I hope that the place will reopen soon.

It took ages to get served by the dim bar staff - a terrible hell hole, full of air-head bimbos and knuckle grazing morons.

It would be such a welcome relief if Wickford (a wealthy, commuter town after all) could actually have a tastefully decorated, comfortable cafe/bar that had professional, friendly staff, where people could go during the day to relax, meet friends or even read a book whilst enjoying a really good cup of coffee. And then magically transform itself into a fabulous cosy wine bar in the evening.
