3 or 4 beers usually available from fairly national brewers such as Wells, Courage, Adnams and Caledonian. As they have 3 pumps I'm not sure why they insist on serving straight from the barrel. This can mean that the beer is sometimes slightly warmer than is desirable. Always one beer on offer at £2.20. Happy hour Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1800 - 2200 with reductions on lagers, cider, shorts etc.

Stop smelling goat's cheese at this hillbilly local and get your bad self on down to THE BACK OF BEYOND. Reading's best kept secret can be located at; 104-108 Kings Road, Reading, Berkshire RG1 3BY. Oh yeah!

We dropped into the Sun Inn purely by chance on a rare visit to Reading, and were pleasantly surprised by the good food, quality well kept beer, traditional surroundings (that have obviously had a recent lick of paint to keep them fresh), and the very friendly and entertaining staff. Very reasonable pricing and service with a smile; a proper pub of which there are so few in towns nowadays - we'll definitely be back when we visit Reading again.
