| We booked a party of 23 for Sunday lunch (birthday). The landlord went to special trouble to rearrange the seating to allow us to all sit in the same area. He and his staff were very welcoming. The food was very good and the table service efficient. The prices were very competitive. Bar area and toilets clean. Good outside childrens play area. | I visited this pub with a friend on Saturday as it was half way between us. We walked in to a most curt welcome when the person who appeared to be running the place stated " we are closed ladies" to which my friend replied "its8.30 on a Saturday evening and you are closed despite the sign the door saying you are open"the reply was a simple "yes" no explanation or offer of apology.
