I just love the feel of this pub, it looks welcoming from the outside and even more so when you walk in. The food is fantastic, the owners Nick & Lynne and so friendly and the pub is clean, warm with such a friendly atmosphere. I would reccomend this pub to anyone and everyone. You will be mad not to give it a go, far the best pub in Theale. thefletch - 13 Apr 2011 09:54

We were there again just last week (Gold Cup Week), popped in for a quick one, warm welcome as ever, and the beer in great condition as usual. We just wish we lived closer - keep up the good work! frogmarcher - 22 Mar 2010 16:14
Nick & Lynn are great and are very attentive, its refreshing when the person behind the bar remembers your name, remebers your drink, and says hello and goodbye. The beer is kept well, and the food is all freshly cooked, great pub, I like it willwine - 21 Mar 2010 16:24
Very friendly 'hands on' landlord and landlady, both wearing Rugby shirts when I was there. 3 real ales, boring for a beer snob like me, I tried 2 of them, the St. Austell Tribute wasn't bad, the Adnams was passable. They advertise their Cask Marque credentials with gusto, work it out for yourself. Abteilung - 20 Mar 2010 22:22
