| I often pop in here straight after work for a pint of milk and a sausage sandwich. Not cheap at £7 but probably the best sausage sandwich in the world. The sister pub in Nottingham of the same name is even better. Pretty hard to find though. Swifty_ - 17 Aug 2010 14:15 |
| This place is a surprise. I'd always assumed it was the same as all the other pubs on Leicester's High Street but it has some real character. Good cheap food, a lot of friendly, young bar staff [Each time I was at the bar I was asked at least three times if I was waiting, which is a pleasant change] and a good atmosphere to it. It's a younger person's place, but not exclusively so - an old git like me was still nmade to feel welcome. | Good atmosphere. Great building and good clientele. Not too pricey for a city pub. Unfortunately the barstaff are not up to scratch. Unable to make a good cocktail and rude to boot. If they replaced the staff, this pub could be good. anonymous - 25 Dec 2006 01:23 |
