| I think Woodmansterne must have been banned from all the local pubs. This is not a bad pub. The Victorai down the other end of the High Street was better but greed had had it turned into a pizza place. | visited this pub on sunday, the first bank holiday weekend in may,had a lovely steak meal for less than a tenner, my wife and our friends enjoyed their meals too. was surprised footie wasn't on, but when we got there, there was a good family atmosphere and the staff were friendly. stayed there the rest of the evening where a very good four piece live band called 'alter ego' performed,which finished off a perfect evening. | Excellent turnaround of a basic pub to a very good one. Same management,I believe, as the Dukes Head in Tadworth. Good parking, food and friendly staff - and entertainment. Just shows what effort and ability can do. simwilliams - 30 Apr 2008 11:59 |
