The Ship & Castle has now re-opened. I just had time for a swift drink before the ferry back to the mainland. Entrance is through a side door. A few people were standing right next to the door singing, which made it difficult to open the door. Fuller's London Pride is the regular beer. The guest on yesterday was Milestone Rich Ruby. The barman was friendly. Most customers seemed to be enjoying a sing-a-long and it appeared that there had been a live singer earlier. Strange place but likeable in a way.

This pub is very close to the Red Funnel ferry terminal. But it is currently closed down.

Went here last week, not a bad boozer, but only one ale available, maybe its better in the Summer.

Nice enough street corner local on the unfashionable side of the river. They had a beer festival on and my pint of Yates Gold was drawn from the cellar. It was drinkable enough. My cohorts reckoned their drinks were nice enough (Banks Milds - no accounting for taste, and Hogs Back TEA) . One of the better alehouses around Mootown. The telly in the bar was a bit over powering though.

Lovely, welcoming street corner local, only slightly spoilt by the huge TV. Several ales from interesting breweries such as Clarkes. No IOW beers on my visit. Very handy for the ferry.Recommended.
