Have enjoyed visiting The Hop Pocket for the last 12 months on a Thursday listened to some great musicianship by some fantastic bands there is no entrance fee and the warm welcome I have grown to enjoy from it's patrons makes the pub a pleasure to visit.

Have to agree with boltonbloke on a few points.
Dragged to this pub by my wife for a northern soul night.
the disco had the sound of a 1970s amstrad rack system, but the Thwaites cask ale was exellent.
Called in again a few weeks later on a rock and blues night, good music and the ale in great condition.

Large, souless pub that has the appearance of being built in the late 60's or early 70's. Seems to have a strong local following but was very quiet on my vist and the bitter tasted like vinegar.
