Hopback GFB amd Summer Lightening plus Doombar yesterday. GFB was OK (ish) but reasonably priced at £2.40. Doesn't open until 1630 during the week. Very much a locals place despite being near to the station. cheshirecat - 5 Aug 2011 08:50
Beer was cheap, didn't think much of the HopBack Beer or the Doom Bar. Nice friendly locals though!! blondemike - 28 Jul 2011 23:26
Pub No.2 on my Salisbury visit. Three pumps serving Hopback GFB and Summer Lightning and Sharps Doom Bar. Had a couple of excellent pints of GFB - £2.30 a pint, 90 pence cheaper than the Haunch of Venison and vastly superior. The pub has a traditional, basic interior and a nice atmosphere and is handily paced near the railway station for a last pint before catching your train. holbornboy - 24 Jan 2011 23:06
Fantastically busy on a Sat eve the first week in Jan 2011 when I visited. 2 Hop Back beers and Doom Bar on when I was in, beer in good condition. 7/10 SotonAleDrinker - 14 Jan 2011 20:49
| A rough & ready town bar with a front lower bar for drinking/conversing and an upper bar for football/racing on telly. They have a new pale blue sign which makes it look more like an estate agents from across the road. Hop Back Ligthning, GBG and Doom Bar on offer. Had a good pint of GBG. Handy for the station.
