Quick and friendly service from attractive bar maid when visited. Nice well kept pint of guest ale at the usual cheap jdw price. 7/10

Visited on 19/11/04.
the pub was average Wetherspoons, but the beer choice was not as good as normal in these houses.
they had a few marstons beers, Abbot Ale and old hooky which went off when I asked for it.
Pub was okay but a bit dirty

Unfortunatly ,whilst the prices might be attractive, this pub suffers from a classic case of under staffing.During busy periods tables mount high with leftover food and dirty ashtrays.I suggest Mr Martin does a customer care audit on a Saturday afternoon to see how poor the service is.
Hinckley is not renowned for its quality bars so The Baron is packed to the rafters on Friday and Saturday nights despite the lack of music.Judging by the surroundings and the amount of time it takes to get served it would suggest that people would queue up to get into a tent in the centre of Hinckley as long as the drinks were cheap!
