Didn't drink so can't comment on the beer I'm afraid. The staff were very pleasant but the food was incredibly mediocre. I had a tasteless cheese and spinach burger with a very few cold chips which got sent back. A colleague was very disappointed with her small, limp salad. The waiter promised to go and get ehr something to cheer it up a bit and we never saw him again. Definitely wouldn't eat there again. Soodlebug - 6 Apr 2011 22:16
Good service, nice food (chicken & bacon sandwich) and decent music. I dont know what the other reviwes saw, but for me I had a great night! Freefaller - 6 Feb 2011 21:25
Booked for a large party, arrived, table not ready & the place was empty, finally seated twenty minutes late. 4 2 person tables for 10, all wonky & no arm room. 30 mins before the server took the order. 40 minutes before food. Roast Beef - tough. Steak tough, very thin & certainly not medium rare. Roast pork -'well it seems to be meat', Hunters chicken, 'guess the hunter had a poor day', Haloumi - 'quite nice if somewhat tough'. Waited another 25 minutes for the table to be cleared & another 30 minutes for the pudding order to be taken. Dont bother with the cheesecake, if has a wet bottom after being defrosted & the toffee, chilli & ginger sauce is just toffee sauce, no vanilla seeds nothing to back up the Madagascan vanilla title. pivotal - 29 Nov 2010 09:24
I really should check this site more before selecting somewhere to go and eat. I was here about 18 months ago and we had a great night out with good food. Alas this time around was completely different. I ordered mussels which were overcooked to the extreme and the other dishes ordered by colleagues were not brilliant. Service was slow on what was not a particularly busy night. IPA on tap was OK which is the only positive. This was on a Monday night when there was one of the worst bands I have heard in ages. pchaimba - 4 May 2009 22:23
Terrible beer, two pumps on but both very poor. Had ordered a ploughmans that was served with a HOT pork pie! I sent it back asking for a cold one but was told they could only do hot pork pies as they were frozen. sofaking - 15 Jan 2009 16:20
