I had to wait at the bar for the barman to finish discussing the rota with a couple of off duty staff which is unacceptable. It’s this sort of attitude that made this place empty when the Hen and Chickens across the road was heaving – sort it out!

The drinks selection of standard draught and Amstel is what you would expect from a place that only exists for the drunken hoards on a Friday and Saturday night.

There are plenty of plasma screens dotted about and whilst I was there loud mass produced dance music was blaring out of the speakers, even though the pub was empty.

I finished my pint in the paved beer garden out the front whilst I looked over the road and wished I had stayed there.

Pretty ghastly pub/bar round the corner from Highbury and Islington station. Has a nice-ish garden out the front, and a large interior which no doubt gets hideously packed on Friday and Saturday nights. Service was poor: one barman who was seemingly unable to keep track of which order customers arrived in (thank you to the customer who politely pointed out I'd arrived well before her). No real ale. I note the comments below regarding the lavatories - the gents' were awful too - one cubicle had the door missing! Completely agree that this is unacceptable in what is clearly a Pubco venue - some money should be spent.

AWFUL!! The management are incredibly rude and I would never go back after the appalling way I was spoken to by the manager on duty.

looks a nice pub but run very badly. The bar manager short changed me then was shouting at the staff to make sure they poured the drinks with massive ammounts of frothy head(obviously in plastic 1/2 litre glasses as well) when i complained i was looked upon as being lower than a snakes belly.never been back

I went to The Junction last Friday (30/03/07)it was a truly unpleasant experience and I would have left had it not been for the company I was with. The place was packed for starters and took approx 15-20 mins to get served once you had finally battled through the 3 people deep crowd. The ladies toilets were disgraceful - no toilet paper - broken cubicle doors -broken soap dispenser - broken hand dryer - broken door handle untidy and dirty. Quite frankly there is no excuse for this given the volume of customers - I'm sure this bar makes a tidy little profit! The only plus point - it's location!
