This is the Second time I Have had to write a message about this fabulous Pub,it is without doubt, one of the best in London. As Ever,Very friendy and Attentive Barmaids See to a customer's evey need,Such as turnng up the Jukebox when one puts money in and Chooses from a selection of over 30,000 songs-in fact this Digital Touchscreen Jukebox allows you to choose any top 40 song going back to 1952. You can always guarantee to find a warm welcome from staff and regulars alike. A friendly atmosphere awaits anyone who goes there. The recent improvements to this pub are great and the beer garden is out of this world! Get down there and see for yourself!! pabanks49 - 19 Jul 2011 17:37
This used to be my local for many years. Sadly no longer. I was in there just the other day (after three years absense). I was so plased to discover the magic remains. Easily the best pub I've ever been in. A true (and diverse) communinity spirit, excellent service, and fantastic beer. The purists choice. P.S. Just for the record (okay, it was seven years ago), I had the best Sunday Roast I've ever had - sorry Mum. Two courses and only a fiver. crazybaldman - 10 Aug 2007 22:44
This is my local and possibly the greatest pub in the world!! Here are 10 reasons why; 1. They have a juke box which plays things from Oasis to Bob Marley to Deftones! 2. They have a plasma screen outside so in the summer you can stand or sit in the sun and watch the football 3. They have an outside pool table 4. They have a dartboard 5. They have a quiz machine 6. They have 2 dogs who are very friendly and beautiful 7. As soon as I walk in there is a pint on the go for me and a cheery hello. 8. They have a quiz night which they run for charity 9. It's a West Ham pub although you wont be treated different if you dont support the Hammers (but i do) 10. It's a proper local where you can have a great night with friends or chatting to the other locals. InHiding - 10 May 2007 16:40
Visited in December and again yesterday, both times the beer was excellent, atmosphere quiet but welcoming, whilst my friend really appreciated the ever available tea and coffee. Food looked good too. Large car park. Outdoor seating areas, (useful for us smokers post July) coming on well. judeobscured - 22 Jan 2007 15:03
Yes.This is not a bad pub.A down to earth basic two bar boozer with a very friendly barmaid. On top of that, the best pint of Young's ordinary that I have had for many a year.Give this one a try. apa - 30 Aug 2006 21:25
