Backstreet pub in Whitmore Reans with a traditional interior. Inside there are a number of rooms. At the rear are the outdoor gents toilets and a bowling green. It was quiet on our Saturday lunchtime visit, especially considering it was a matchday. The ale choice was not quite as good as I was expecting either - Courage Best, Oakham Citra, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Wye Valley HPA & Butty Bach & Sharp's Doom Bar. I was hoping for a real cider. But there was none available. We did get a CAMRA discount on half pints here though and the interior makes it worthy of a visit.

Happy Hour YOU WHAT!! I was happy untill i went in there. i was sat in a empty bar and was waiting to be served at 1856 and after the bar staff stopped there chit chat and decided to serve me it was 1 minute after 7 and there for they wanted to charge me full wack of 3 pound 50. excuse me but whats with the attitude cause i wasnt going to pay the extra pound youd rather dash it down the sink and lose out on 3.50 instead. And then look at me like im in the wrong. naaa you lot have got it all wrong

Can get very busy of a weekend. Food is good if you like a good carvery. Beer choice is good and a good busy, friendly atmosphere. Good to go out to with the family for a few.

Busy Victorian suburban pub with large number of rooms and a bowling green. Beer at 3.50 a pint is a expensive for the area, but made up for in part by pretty good home made pies and chips at 3.25. The beer Enville Ale was in good condition tho'.

Update on my previous visit Thatchers Heritage 2.75 per pint decided to visit the beer garden next to the delightful pavilion by the bowling green unfortunately our visit was ruined at approximately 5.30 on Monday 26 April 2010 by a large group who started fighting, women screaming and crying the incident got very unpleasant that my wife and I were investigating ways of leaving and left as soon as an escape route could be found
