| Absolute disgrace. This was the site of one of the oldest pubs in town and one of the cheapest. The town planners were either conned, bribed or asleep when the planning proposal was put before them for the 'Sport 2000' bar. The green neon signage is totally incongruous on the old Godalming High st. Why do you need to theme a place just to show sport. Why can't it be a proper pub with a TV screen. The 'makeover' means I will never be dinking in this place but it seems to be successful with the down-market crowd it attracts. Richard - 27 Apr 2004 11:44 |
