Great jukebox, the staff are very friendly, Krombacher and a superb range of bottled beers. There's no real ale, unfortunately, as the architecture doesn't allow it. As mentioned below it's great for pre/post gig drinks.

The sandwiches are very fresh and prepared in front of you, in summer when the student trade vanishes you can bring in your own food so take advantage of the superb chicken kebabs from Abdul's.

As usual for the area, the poor bloody bar staff have to spend hours making cappofrappoloopydoopywankyccinos for the student trade which can be frustrating if you need a quick pint. Not their fault, of course, so perhaps we should start a campaign for all students to be gassed like badgers...

A quality little place which'd be easy to miss as it's sandwiched inbetween a florists and a takeaway. Fantastic range of foreign bottled beers and the food looks OK as well. Only downside is tht, as already mentioned, is extremely pricey. Nevertheless a foo place to go for a livener or if you want to impress girl.

after waiting half an hour to get served when busy it would be nice to get a smile from the bar staff - and getting served my wine in a pint glass cos they'd run out of wine glasses just made me feel cheap - til i realised how very expensive that wine was.
ah well.

Nice little bar with a good selection of bottled beers, but a bit on the expencive side. I'd recommend it if you're just calling in for 1 or 2 then moving on.
