| Another visit to this first class pub and as before I was not disappointed. Good selection of beers from local (and not so local) brewers - all at reasonable prices. A selection of rolls to soak up the ale and of course it is open all day!! I had Ramsbury Bitter followed by a hoppy beer from Wentworth Brewery. Very friendly staff and the music was brilliant - proper R&B which came from a tape of a pub local who acts as a DJ for a radio station in Kansas,USA - great stuff. Lots of local CAMRA newsletters to read and really just a faultless boozer!! Highly recommended and as I have said before well worth the walk up the hill from the station (go via the church - it's the nicest route). mcroyal - 11 Jan 2012 09:15 |

| Wow, what a super pub. Met a guy in Germany on a steam trip just before Christmas who said this was his local and we should visit it. Took us a few months but well worth the effort. Excellent beers, mostly micros, and all in super condition. Very friendly; locals came and chatted with us. Big bonus is the station in the village with direct trains from London. | Another good friendly pub with good beer. The food is minimal but the rolls they had were only £1 and handy to 'soak up' the beer. Snarling_Mallard - 4 Nov 2009 09:44 |
| A great pub with consitently good beer and friendly locals. A pleasant surprise to find it open all day but thankful it was. Well worth the walk up from the station and a very enjoable couple opf pints between trains (try the Oxfordshire Day Ranger ticket which gives open access between Reading; Moreton-in-Marsh;Banbury ; Oxford and Bicester. Great value and some good pubs en route). Anyway the R&C is highly recommeded. mcroyal - 2 Jul 2009 11:43 |
