| Had a lovely pint of Greene King IPA here the other day, prices are not cheap but not outlandish. Recommend for a sunny day to watch the World go by, with stunning views around the River Wey. PubMessenger - 24 Aug 2008 11:02 |
| There are signs it may be getting better. Service was quick and friendly enough. Pint of bitter and crisps was £4, I've known more expensive. aleman - 21 Aug 2008 17:52 |
| Well blow me down with a feather Biker ol buddy for a place that promotes it`s self as a gastro pub that report (scores on the doors)makes an interesting read especially as its owned by the biggest "Pub Co"in the country guess who ,yep Punch, so there is no reason for it not to have a brand new kitchen which is kept spotless. Will not be using this pub again shame as its such a great location. | Once the bar staff had noticed I existed (which took some time), I was ridiculously overcharged for a warm glass of white wine and a meal that resembled something on a cheap deal at Wetherspoons. To add insult to injury, the tables were dirty and the toilets in a terrible state. Such a shame, great location. gtowngal - 28 Jul 2008 15:13 |
| As an old Guildfordian, I'm beginning to understand why this pub (and others) are gradually falling off their perches. I've just read a food hygiene report for this place that was conducted by a group called 'Scores On The Doors' - something of an eye opener ! These inspections are conducted by the local authority and I would suggest places like this can hear their own doors closing for good if they don't sharpen up. No rating left, not been in for ages.
