| A very enjoyable warm cosy pub. My pal went for the Old Peculiar, myself Theakstons XB. Both in top nick. Liked the sliding door to get into the bar. Like many Whitby pubs, I could have sat there all night. willesden_seadog - 25 Jan 2012 01:27 |
| This pub is a bit like Marmite......I visited on 2 nights recently, the first night the Deauchers was fine... the 2nd the young lad just didnt seem to be interested... The food appeared to be in good order and the pub does have some great views...... on previous visits I have always thought this pub kept a decent pint, I just seem to think that young lads sometimes just cant give a xxxx Enigma35 - 21 Aug 2011 22:03 |
| just a quick post i go in here for the view,but now i go in for the real ale as well. a good selection and the 2 drinks i had deuchers ipa and theakstons op were both in tip top condition.you can really work up a thirst walking up and down those 199 steps so why dont you quench it while watcing the comings and goings in the harbour loiner8 - 17 Jul 2010 18:00 |

| Went in there on Tuesday.Bad service as the barboy was talking to his mates at the same time as serving us.The 'chef' was sitting there in the bar in his DIRTY whites drinking before the food started in the evening (put us off to eat,4 of us).Made to feel not particularly welcome either.So needless to say that we woudnt recommend this place especially when there is such a great place 4 yards away next door! sweeties1975 - 19 Sep 2009 23:42 |
