| Another pub worthy of a return visit. It had real ales, though i elected to try Theakston's Smooth Dark, as it was as close to MILD as i would get, despite being a bit fake. Another place set up for eating and bar staff were friendly. The music was interesting and i am sure to Bigdex's relief, no longer as loud as a Filey man in the Three Tuns. | Great location and views and a fair choice of ales. Music is inapproriate (Dylan? The Beatles?) AND MUCH TOO LOUD.It seems like the barstaff are indulging themselves without consideration for the paying customer. Could be a great pub - just turn the bloody music down! Bigdex - 9 Feb 2009 19:24 |

| Great pub, we had a great week in Whitby and this was our favourite pub of all - we visited last year but were not that impressed - the pub now is much better organised and the beer is better back to whitby soon I hope Sam sirlickalot - 19 Nov 2007 17:32 |
