As a rule pubs found directly outside railway stations (in towns that is) are generally rather mediocre. This is one of the exceptions to that rule. Atmosphere and staff friendly, family room for kids, 8 very well kept ales on handpump from many different regions, plus handpump cider. Didn't note much in the way of food (except snacks) but could well have missed it. Doesn't matter - supermarket across the road sells very nice sandwiches and cakes and there are fish & chip shops and a branch of Subway very close by. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Very nice pub, wide range of ales on, something like 8. As I recall Doom Bar, TT Golden Best, Black Dog Abbey, Camerons Strongarm, Adnams Bitter. Black Dog the only microbrewery, so I plumped for that. Sadly it wasn't at its best at all.

The Station Inn has just been named Cleveland Camra Spring Pub of the Season 2010. 8 cask ales all kept in great condition. A first class pub.

Love this pub on a Friday night and I disagree about the live music- thats what keeps us going back and although not much room the atmosphere is great and quality of bands are excellent. The Old Rosie Cider is rather good as well!

Definitely the best pub in Whitby as far as I am concerned. A very good selection of well kept beers.

We visited several times over a long weekend. 11 out of 10
