| Good pints of Taylor Landlord. Good service. Plentiful TVs showing the football. Lots of seats and a back room we didn't discover but it's supposedly like a cinema with surround sound to watch the action. willesden_seadog - 25 Jan 2012 01:48 |
| Visited this pub last week, the TT Golden Best was in decent order... the pub also appeared to be dog friendly... the atmosphere was fine. The lad playing the bandit was a bit cheesed off when the collect button broke on the bandit and he couldnt get his hands on the £28 he had won.... overall, not a bad pub, but not what I would say was a top 5 real ale pub... | Visited again a couple of times over the weekend. A small brick terrace pub from the exterior, the interior has a small bar and a narrow, open plan bar, lounge, with pool table and sports tv in the far area and quieter by the door. The interior has purple seats and walls that are white and bright - different to last time i visited, when the lights were out apart from by the door. There was the familiar 1890s Sutcliffe photos on the wall, which looked good. Clientele was mixed and most of the service friendly, just one half-miserable bar girl that served me. The beer was better than i remembered it, TT Best and Landlord, both being fine, as well as John Smiths Cask.
