Very good Purity Pure Gold but watched the bar staff consistently pour short pints. My pint was over an inch from the top on a brim measure glass. It was topped up without a fuss but if they continue to do this then the Trading Standards Office are going to come a calling. Using sparklers on the taps with brim measure glasses is not a good recipe for getting a full pint. Apart from that the pub was very pleasant. addlened - 24 Mar 2011 09:57
This food was great and the service was better than outstanding. We -- man and wife -- were out-of-town customers from the continent who were not all that familiar with the beers on tap, so the waitress offered to bring us each a small sample of several unknown beers of our taste, something which has otherwise never happened to us anywhere else in the world. This is surely not a standard practice at "the one elm", but we were instantaneously converted to love this "foodie" and somewhat "pricey" pub, which had been recommended to us by the ****hotel that provided our accomodations in Stratford-upon-Avon. We proceeded to have a fantastic evening, each having several pints, which is not our custom, and delighting in the sumptuous snacks. The other guests were of all ages, well-dressed, well-mannered and friendly. It was an evening to remember. Thank you. JohnPeckfort - 18 May 2010 23:22
This is yet another Stratford pub that’s more of a restaurant and wine bar. The actual restaurant area is at the rear but the whole place is very foodie. There are a few seats in the tiny room to the right as you enter and lots of high tables and chairs in the main bar area. There are loads of great photos around the walls of guitar players etc. It’s very bright and airy and obviously very girlie friendly. Three handpumps on the bar selling Purity UBU and Gold plus Bombardier. Both Purity beers were in good nick. I thought it was an OK place but the other half loved it so we came back twice in two days. ROBCamra - 6 Nov 2009 15:07

Been in here several times now and it's one of my regular places in Stratford. The UBU is always top notch. Service pretty good and the atmosphere all the better for the smoking ban. 9/10 therivierakid - 20 Aug 2007 11:57
