I've not been in recently but have to say that the staff have always been pleasant and quick in my opinion. The atmosphere has always been brill. The beer garden/smoking area has been well thought out and even I, as an ex smoker think its an attractive addition. I'm sure Iain and Gareth are doing a great job and look forward to dropping by soon to check it out myself. I think this pub is a little gem, keep up the good work x oppsadaisy - 21 Nov 2009 23:45
I used to go in here regularly. Popped back in the other week on a "crawl" and we had a good visit. At least 2 reasonable draught beers on, the food menu looked appealing and despite the inclement weather, there were plenty of people enjoying a night out (swimming in the beer garden). I'd certainly go in again, although I'm not sure it would be somewhere I'd spend a whole evening boddies_drinker - 30 Jul 2009 13:27

to who ever reads the reviews on this web site, they don't pitch a very good pitcher of the roebuck let me tell you why the people who have wrote these are heve never had a problem with me until i had good reason to bar them and ever since they have made it thier personal aim to try and ruin the pub for me and my partner,so all i ask is that you ignore these reviews and come and see for youself if you like homecooked food good wine and ale and a frienly welcomeing traditional pub thenyou might be pleasantly suprise. so please don't take the words of narrow minded people you have nothing better to do.yours faithully iain iainh - 13 Jul 2009 19:08
