Nothing special... only one ale on and that was GK IPA and while it was probably as good a pint of it as you can get it doesn't really say much for the place. Two pubs in the village and the only ale on offer was a bog standard IPA. Anyone travelling on the Bletchley-Bedford line who is looking for decent real ale would be well advised NOT to get off at Lidlington.

A great traditional village pub that can cater for locals and visitors alike.
When tourists think about a typical english village pub they could be describing the Greene Man with its attractive thatch and beams. Now being run by Phil and Geina whose concept of a traditional village inn give hope to all those who want to see something different to the trend of "gastropubs" or closing as the only future for the village pub!
Highly recommended and close to a rail station (unfortunately that service cannot be recommended).
Let's get behind out village pub and visit at least once a week!

Well the greenman in Lidlington, has now gone through the change of landlords and I have to say Phil & Geina are great, they have really turned the place around,

The Greenman is a country pub with a difference, located on the high street in the middle of this picturesque the Village. The pub dates back in the 1600’s when it was a centre of village life for a thriving community and surrounded by lush farm land and as still today a good community spirit !

The Greenman is a grade II Listed building with a thatched roof, incorporating the values of traditional pub hospitality with modern designs, but with a traditional feel with exposed beams and low ceilings, but also with a lounge / games room and a dinning room.

In the summer the large, spacious garden with a kids play area and a vast garden for the kids to explore. In winter, sit in front of the open fire as it crackles and spits, as friends relax over a glass of wine.

The menu is simple but up-to-the-minute with lots of comfort appeal, with homely things like steaks and pasta with some more global dishes to keep things lively, but also offering a great lunch time selection.

The atmosphere at The Greenman is relaxed, friendly and informal. The most important ingredient is the people that will look after you; you will love the warmth and hospitality.

Families are welcome.

One of the best pubs in the local area for food and company !

Would be quite a nice village pub if it offered something better than the dull-as-ditchwater Greene King ales.

Nice little pub, drinks were very reasonably priced, small but secluded beer garden.
