| Everybody I'd spoken to in Pickering had recommended the Black Swan. So, we decided to head here yesterday afternoon on our return from Whitby. It is home to the town's only microbrewery - Great British Breworks. 3 of their ales are always on - Coal Porter, Great Scot & Istanbul Pale Ale. 2 guests were Yorkshire Heart Silverheart & Half Moon Dark Masquerade. I opted for the Porter, which definitely had a hint of charcoal to it. The pub has a couple of rooms. There is a carpeted dining room as you enter and the main bar is further to your right.
