Stopped off for a pint on a bike ride last Sunday at around 12.30, as we have done several times over the last couple of years. Unfortunately once again it was very quiet, which is a real shame as they consistently offer a great range of their own ales, draught cider and a couple of guests. The Brandy Snapper in particular (as others have mentioned) is a lovely pint! With a plum location in the middle of town, and a great beer garden for the warmer days and evenings, I really hope they get the trade they deserve at other times. bike2beer - 14 Jan 2012 18:18
In here last Saturday lunch time. 6 handpulls, one for cider and two guest ales. The other three are from their own on the premises brewery. Whistling Joe, John Baker Original and the one I went for Brandysnapper which sold for £2.75 a pint. I would liked to have stayed to try the other two but didn't have the time. Large Garden at the back that runs down to the river. bjbrummiejohn - 13 Jul 2011 08:19

Cosy in the winter, fantastic riverside gardens in the summer. Micro brewery on the premises provides Brandy Snapper (amongst others) which is one of my all time favourites. Always welcoming. Good pub food. A gem. smayles - 9 Dec 2010 20:52
