Todays Liverpool Echo reports that a man died following a 'disturbance' at this pub last weekend. wirraldrinker - 29 Jul 2010 16:08
Love this pub. Where else can you get so much choice. A proper pub. Staff great, Managers great, Atmosphere great. setay - 9 Apr 2010 21:50
Large pub with single room that benfs aroud the building, huge choice of excellent beers (and Greene King) with Titanic Mild a house beer. Full every evening, can be difficult to find - 5 minutes walk from station, or if driving turn off Formby Road at the BP garage. In a very affluent area (Gerrard lives up the road) so good enough for pub haters like mrBean to stoop themselves to visit (loud swearing?). Comments in other reviews about the staff are fair - most are efficient and impersonal, none are useless. But if you were a regular in a pub you'd expect recognition and possibly conversation from the staff, so you must expect a degree of indifference when you visit other places - this is not an unfriendly pub. paul_ove_walldner - 29 Jan 2010 14:27
Brilliant night at Guitar Club. So much talent, open mic session anyone can get up who's brave enough. Fantastic range of ales from all over the country, excellently kept. Not just one pub but 2 pubs in one. Function room has lots going on in it now a days, used for private parties as well as different events open to the public. Would recomend to everyone who likes real ales. Brilliant ales, brilliant staff, brilliant pub. Thank you for some great times. setay - 3 Feb 2009 17:41
