Haven't been in here in 20+ years, yet after a visit today I can say the place aint changed a bit. Had some good times in here (I seem to remember a case of 1088 Cider being consumed by a guy called 'Knocker' and myself!!! and a messy after avent!!!). However, today only Sharpes 'Doom Bar' on tap. so I opted for Guinness.....safe bet, you'd think.......wrong, it was skank!!! Still the pub is a gem. Gotta rate it 8/10 just on its ambience. Will visit again.

Excellent village pub with equally excellent restaurant. Extensive, if a tad pricy, menu and excellent, well kept ale. Only complaint would be the limited range of ales - Sharp's Own (excellent), Butcombe and Greene King IPA - albeit enough for a good night out!

slightly up-market aspirations here.....it's certainly not a boozer any more.
extensive food menu, average beer selection...

Excellent village pub which in the last two or three years has won a number of top awards for its food using locally-sourced ingredients. Friendly staff and a good range of real ales and wines.

Interesting and tasty bar lunches which can be served in the secluded garden, surrounded by thatched cottages.

Food is mainly served in the bar but a restaurant area is available for large parties.

Excellent food. Impressive and friendly service.

Probably a destination gastro-pub rather than a place to down a lot of lager or alco-pops.
