| Lovely pub. Friendly quick service and a blinding pint of bitter. nickthefish - 27 Jun 2008 07:07 |
| This has taken over as my "local" from the Angel, whenever I visit the area. It is a great little pub, we are always met with a smile and cherry word, always a couple of real ales on handpump, and there is a well stocked games table for you to dive into (crib, dominoes and some board games). | Just started going to this pub, having driven past it almost every day for several years, and wondering what it was like. Its quite small, but service is excellent - a really friendly pub, and doing even better trade now the Ferry is closed. Try the quiz every other Wednesday - quite testing though! | A decent undemanding family grub-pub with a decent undemanding ciabatta-and-chips style menu (and a kid's menu to bring Irish publicity-seeker Jamie O'Liver harumphing out of the woodwork): satisfying food at satisfactory prices, and a decent pint. jathomson - 22 May 2007 12:27 |
