Lovely pub. Friendly quick service and a blinding pint of bitter.

This has taken over as my "local" from the Angel, whenever I visit the area. It is a great little pub, we are always met with a smile and cherry word, always a couple of real ales on handpump, and there is a well stocked games table for you to dive into (crib, dominoes and some board games).

Just started going to this pub, having driven past it almost every day for several years, and wondering what it was like. Its quite small, but service is excellent - a really friendly pub, and doing even better trade now the Ferry is closed. Try the quiz every other Wednesday - quite testing though!

A decent undemanding family grub-pub with a decent undemanding ciabatta-and-chips style menu (and a kid's menu to bring Irish publicity-seeker Jamie O'Liver harumphing out of the woodwork): satisfying food at satisfactory prices, and a decent pint.
