Visited this pub 2 weeks ago with friends and family whilst on a visit to the UK. I found it a very warm and friendly pub with a real friendly atmosphere. We too were also in there for a football match and although it was loud and busy I am sure it is deemed acceptable to cheer for your football team when they score a goal. I wouldn't of called it a rowdy atmosphere.
When we returned the following day we enjoyed several games of pool and enjoyed some evening entertainment, which was a disco/karoke that night.
Seems ashame that there are some poor reviews on here for this small and friendly yet lively pub.

Despite all that has been said before, I visited this place this afternoon (with a complete and fresh – “Let’s actually see what it’s really like” VIEW). Forgot it was football! No real ale, pub is grubby and carpet is beer stained and unclean & toilets were disgusting. Clientele were loud, rowdy and (frankly) a tad rough. Had two pints of standard lager (neither of which were full). On both occasions, I had to ask for them to be topped up.

I was not offered any drugs, although there was clear evidence of its use (which I photographed with ‘phone) in the loo’s.

OVERVIEW: Not a place to take your friend/lover/Mother/wife. There is a market here, certainly. Sad that it only befits the rowdy, loud mouthed (and generally) football supporting crowd. The sport ALL intelligent individuals grew out of at the age of 14.

I have sent a note to the Licensing Officer @ LBH, Civic Centre simply to ask that they keep an eye on the premises, and, bear in mind the comments here (which I have catalogued), when considering any further licensing requirements.

I don't agree at all with Italaiux. This is one of the worst 50 pubs in the UK

FANCY YOURSELF AS A BIT OF A COMEDIAN DO WE ITALAIUX. THIS INDUSTRY IS STRUGGLING ENOUGH WITHOUT YOU FEELING THE NEED TO DESTROY HARD WORKING BUSINESSES JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO. JUST FIND A NICE PUB AND STAY THERE BESIDES GOING INTO PUBS THAT YOU KNOW WONT MEET YOUR VERY HIGH EXPECTATIONS. ADMITTEDLY THE TURKS COULD BE IMPROVED BUT SHOW ME A PUB THAT DOSENT. TO RANK IT IN THE WORST 100 JUST SHOWS HOW NARROW MINDED YOU MUST BE.

Despite joea’s need and desperate attempts to retain his customer base, the place is a complete s***hole. It’s OK to visit if you are armed (you need to be - believe me).
Sad, awful, dirty and disgusting. I have witnessed open drug dealing too. Place needs closing down BIG TIME.

Take all the legal advice you want. You might want to start with the police arranging unannounced visits to you disgusting “hostelry”. Drug dealers on your premises, opening dealing, are YOUR responsibility.

Have voted this amongst the worst 100 pubs in the UK, and rightly so.
