I totally disagree with the comments made by anonymous!! Yes, the pub is quite dark, but more cosy rather than dingy! I think the staff have made the best they possibly can out of it. As for the comments about the bar staff, this is completely wrong. they are very friendly and certainly not rude.
Although some nights it can be empty, it doesn't mean that the fun atmosphere dies. You can have a good banter with the locals and bar staff and people will always talk to you, known to them or not. People go in there for the friendly atmosphere and welcoming reception, and most importantly, a fun evening, not because they can't be bothered to walk anywhere else!!!

A poor pub. Dingy and poorly kept. Sour, rude and unwelcoming bar staff. It used to be popular with locals and you used to be able to go in and find a friendly face to talk to, but bit by bit the staff have alienated and upset most people so no one goes in anymore. Most nights you see it empty. The only people who go in now seem to be hardened locals who can't be bothered to walk anywhere else.

The Rockingham is one of my favourite pubs in Uxbridge, it's within easy walking distance from the main town centre which in my opinion is full of souless dives **Yes you know who you are**. The Rock offers a decent pint, good honest food served with that 'personal touch'. Keep up the good work guys.

The Old Rockingham Arms... Well, well, well, what can we say about our home from home??? Been working in Ughsbridge for around 2 and a 1/2 years now - and drinking in the Rock for much of that time. The locals are a good old laff (certainly like a drink!), the beers pretty good, the staff are great: Bruce, Lisa, Michelle and Ben - Keep up the good work. Everyone at my works like's the Pub so much that we've based our Pool Team there (The Rockingham B)... Mmmm, think I might pop in there tonight for a "swift half"...
