This is more like it....Sort of a modern take on a traditional old school boozer c/o Charles Wells/Youngs.

Not full of pimply teens,or hen-stag do's...quite refreshing really!

Much better than when it was O'Neills, good selection (and quality) of beer, decor perhaps a bit cheap and modern though.

Great new pub- elegant decor, calm atmosphere, and good beer. I approve.

I went in here because I noticed it was a Young's pub and a pint of Winter Warmer is always welcome. The Winter Warmer did not disappoint, the staff were friendly and were certainly not run off their feet. It was lunch time on the Saturday before Christmas when I would have expected it to have been very busy but it was not.

We found the menu very confusing with various different options only available on certain days of the week and at different prices but what we ended up with was very good. My tip is to go for the 'board' options, which cost a tenner but feed two easily. We didn't realise this and had one each and were stuffed!!

All in all, I quite like the place but the lack of customers does tend to suggest that something doesn't quite work. If the rumour mentioned by deejay in a previous posting is true, it will be a shame but if it doesn't get more customers through the door, I can see that it may well be true.

I like the Seven Stars. Hope it stays as is as it is decent, friendly, decent beer and good food.

Leave it alone that's what I say.
