| Now reopened as the 'Seven Stars' by Youngs - after a tasteful refurbishment. On our visit there last Sunday, the two barmaids were very polite and the place seemed to have a pleasant atmosphere. A big improvement; this 'new pub' will do well. simwilliams - 16 Jun 2008 10:03 |
| Now closed - which is disappointing as this place worked rather well. terenced - 21 Apr 2008 15:19 |
| Pleasantly Surprised!! I'd been put off this place a few years ago; - the staff WERE crap - the manager WAS lazy and clearly didn't give a monkey's. - food WAS late and cold It used to be THE place to go in the late 90's then it went down hill when this rude w@nker of a manager took over. A few weeks ago I walked in there it was immediately apparent that lots had changed, the staff were friendly and polite, food came fast and tasted gooood despite it being full of people watching the rugby. Altogether a pleasure to re-visit an old haunt and equally a pleasure to see this pub regaining the edge it used to have. Top marks to the team for turning it around! | Very easy to knock O'Neills but the one in Brighton seems to work very well. Charming bar staff. Decent range on tap. Decent Guinness and the all day Irish breakfast is a pleasure. Not a fan of the chain at all but this one simply does the business. terenced - 10 Jan 2008 13:42 |
Since the manager has arrived it has really come on leaps and bounds and is a credit to the chain, big improvement from the last miserable fucker on a landlord!!!!! Dan Grimsley - 15 May 2007 00:11 |
