Best straight pub around here. Modern, Clean. Nice comfortable seats. Good beer and service. Great for Cricket drink prior or post match.

Not so much Oasis as REM, specifically, shiny happy people! Adnams bitter £3 a pint. I sort of agree with everyone on this pub (unfortunately) - it is very much a modern place and nothing at all of what is suggested by the exterior. Attractive barmaids which is always a plus, as is the outside area which is architecturally well handled by glass screens.
Look at it this way. Almost opposite this pub is a white wedge-shaped building that still bears the remains of a hanging sign. This was once the Durham Arms. It was a pub, and is so no more. The Beehive has changed and adapted; and despite what Bertrand Russell said about 'one can adapt to anything, even sitting on a hot stove', the adaptation is no bad thing and the Beehive, unlike the Durham Arms, remains open. Anywhere that can appeal to a range of demographics and not just the white male which is allegedly the backbone of pub-going - and is nonetheless getting his beer from the off licence these days - has an edge, and an edge is what you need. Not traditional, but I liked it.

An absolute Oasis. The place has a very clean modern and comfortable decor but still has a traditional pub feel and the staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. The bonus comes with finding it has one of best Beer Gardens in South London, private, sunny and big. Great food too

I usually visit this pub during the lunch break when I'm at Oval test matches. It has certainly been improved by a refurbishment. Unfortunately, special test match prices have been introduced, meaning that a pint of Youngs bitter cost £3.50 last week.

Only dropped in to see the Portsmouth based band Lifeoriley in here. A mixed crowd celebrating something or other and a few locals contributed to an interesting evening.

This was my first visit and the pub felt a little lost between up market and local but the beer was enjoyable, as was the band. Staff and landlady were friendly enough. The wife was happy with the wine too.
