| Saturday evening was my first visit to the cobbled Old Aberdeen area, next to the university. The St Machar Bar did not look open from the outside. But inside it was quite lively. A group of young students had clearly had a fair amount. Caledonian Deuchars IPA is the regular beer. The guest was Loch Leven Pale Ale. There's a good range of whiskies and other spirits behind the long bar. Addlestones was the cider. One of Aberdeen's better pubs. | Quality bar located in the middle of the university in the picturesque part of Aberdeen. Upon arrival I received a welcome from the friendly barmaid. 4 ales on hand pump, the 2 pints of Harvieston Mr Snoball I had were excellent. Again another bar with a huge range of Whiskey's on offer, far too many to count.
