The JC is a typical Wetherspoons, maybe even one of the better ones, fine if you like them.

However, with the Stanford and the Triangle selling tip-top Green Jack ales, I've never felt the need to be a regular here when in Lowestoft.

Incidentally, my last post consisted of the final words of the anti-hero in "Apocalypse Now", based on Joseph Conrad's "Heart Of Darkness".

(I trust that fugglehops will take my sympathy as not overly ironic.)

All posts - with the exception of the last incomprehensible one - confirm this as a fine establishment, which is illustrated by the large levels of patrons.

The best and busiest in town, with well kept beer and good food. Service is efficient and management have a firm hand on things.

Choice of beers were poor on this visit.
All the bland regular ales were on, but only one guest, Woodfordes Bure Gold.

Time to kill before our train back on Sunday morning so we had a quick pint in this large 'spoons opposite the station.

At 10.50am it was already packed , most of the tables taken up with diners who were no doubt cashing in on the cheap breakfasts.

10 hand pumps with 7 ales on, I had a pint of Halloween inspired Boo @ 5.2% from St Peters.

Nice spoons, well kept with tables cleared regularly even though it was busy.
