Blue Scrumpy forgot to mention the dining room which was packed full on Saturday evening. So was the front bar but, luckily, we had arrived early enough to nab the last vacant table. And there we stayed for most of the evening as the food was delicious (duck wasn't cheap but was worth every penny) and the beer was in excellent condition. I tried the Hobsons Best and the guest GWB Hambrook Ale. Didn't bother with the Ludlow Gold. Would definitely revisit.

Visited on a Wednesday evening about 6 weeks ago whilst staying locally and looking for somewhere to eat. I arrived to find the carpark virtually full as was the pub and discovered that Wednesday night is fish and chip night and obviously very popular so fish and chips it was. You must take into account that there are very few chip shops in this rural area hence the appeal. No starters or desserts seemed to be on offer but I was presented with a lovely and sizeable piece of haddock with copious chips and a scoop of mushy peas for £7.50 which certainly filled me up assisted by Hobsons Best to wash it down. The other ales were Stonebridge Station bitter and Ludlow Gold all priced at £2.80 if I remember correctly. The landlady and locals were all very friendly which made for a very enjoyable evening and I would happily visit again. Definitely recommended.

Situated in the centre of a small village in the heart of the Shropshire countryside, this is another community local. It has 2 rooms - the main bar at the front and what looked like a smaller room at the rear. A darts match was in progress during our visit in the rear room and was being keenly followed in both bars. Ales were Hobsons Best, Gloucester Gold & Stonehouse Station Bitter. They also stocked Westons Country Perry. Watch your step if you cross to/from the car park opposite. You'll hopefully hear the passing cars before you get knocked down!

One of the best pubs in southwest Shropshire, owned by the local community for about 20 years now. Pub games. Good food. Local ales.
