Best selection of well kept and served cask ales in Brixham, full stop. A little off the beaten track but only about 15 minutes walk from the centre, a proper pub with some good music on at weekends, bad point, the pub sound system sounds crap!

Good little community pub in an off the beaten track area of the town. Well worth the effort to find it though. Oakham Citra on very good form, plus Branscombe Branoc and a few others.

Decent corner backstreet boozer (hard to find!)

A few ales on and one was on for £2.60 a pint and was very good.

This is a proper pub way off the tourist trail in Brixham and one of the finest pubs in the Torbay area.

9/10

This gem of a back street local which is accessed up steep steps from the harbour is in my opinion well worth the walk.

8 hand pumps with 1 real cider and 4 ales on. I had a couple of pints of Hunter's Brewery Crack Shot @ 3.8%, a good pint that was well kept and poured each time.

Friendly and extremely helpful barman, who we had a bit of banter with. There were a smattering of locals in along with a family having their dinner. I didn’t see the food but I heard member of the family saying it was decent.

Old fashioned décor inside with a small garden to the rear.

Television on low level allowing for chatter between the punters. A good range of beer magazines from Camra branches all around the country.

The Queen’s is an excellent pub and well worth the walk, which was echoed by the rest of my party.

9/10 for me.

Proper backstreet boozer situated near where Brixham Station once stood. A single room pub with six handpumps offering a constantly rotating selection of beers. They always have a couple of beers from local breweries like Otter and Hunters while Oakham make a regular appearance on the pumps. The beers are well-kept, hence the string of awards that the pub has deservedly received, including South Devon CAMRA pub of the year.
On my trips to this pub I've enjoyed Thornbridge Jaipur and several beers from the aforementioned Oakham - these include a very good stout called Hawse Buckler on my most recent visit.
Despite being off the beaten track the pub was rammed a couple of weeks back on a glorious summer evening, no doubt helped by it's entry in the 2014 GBG.
In the real ale desert of Torbay this is the No.1 destination for anyone looking for a decent pint.
